When my husband and I booked a cruise ship, we made sure that we would be able to stop at Israel for part of our trip. We have both dreamed of going there for quite a while, and we were so thrilled to finally have it happen. We would only be there for two days though, so I started to look into Jerusalem tours before we even left. I knew that we would need a guided tour because there was just no way that we would be able to find our way around without some help from someone who knew exactly where everything is that we would want to see.
We knew that we wanted to see the touristy things that everyone wants to see, but we also wanted to see how life in Jerusalem really is. The only way to do that is to visit the non touristy areas as well. We wanted to talk with people in their real environments, especially since we have such a heart for the people who live there. I knew that we could not do this on our own, so I went online to find a company that provides tours.
I did not want a company where we would just be a number in the group. I have been parts of tours like that, and they are just so impersonal. I wanted a small group to where we could ask the guide questions and get genuine answers. It did not take us long to find the company that we wanted to use for this, and it was really easy to secure their services too. Everything was handled online, and the actual tour itself turned out to be better than I could have expected. We got to see Israel in a way I never thought we would, and we have more of heart for the people there now!
